Donations of Time, Labor and Money help Individuals and Families in Local Communities
“Our Month of HOPE…serves to remind each of us that we are not alone.”
With those words at the Company’s 2017 Leaders Meeting, Troy McQuagge, USHEALTH’s President and CEO, challenged over 500 Sales Leaders and Employees in attendance to make November 2017 the company’s second annual Month of HOPE by finding ways to give back, in their local communities. In turn, those in attendance went back home to find ways to make a difference…and in the process…live USHEALTH’s mission of Helping Other People Everyday (“HOPE”).
“The number of charitable events and service projects our people were involved in across America is incredible,” said Bill Shelton, USHEALTH’s Senior VP of Marketing. “USHEALTH agents and employees participated in everything from landscaping projects, building homes; feeding the hungry, clothing children and providing toys for Christmas. And of course, no Month of HOPE would be complete without helping our nation’s veterans with food, shelter and companionship – and that’s just the beginning! This year’s response to Troy’s Month of HOPE challenge was truly overwhelming.”
“Our company is blessed to have so many selfless people who are willing to give of themselves to help others,” added Travis Yoder, USHEALTH’s Executive Vice President of Sales. “Our collective efforts impacted people across America and Puerto Rico. When you consider that this is the busiest time of the year for our business – the Health Insurance Open Enrollment period – it really is amazing how many agents and employees found the time to help so many people in so many different ways…in such a short period of time.”
Thousands of USHEALTH agents and employees took part in a wide array of charitable activities during November and December. Their efforts ultimately impacted hundreds of thousands of lives across the U.S. and Puerto Rico. Additional details about many of the local events will be reported over the days and weeks ahead.
When asked about the response to his Month of HOPE message, Mr. McQuagge said, “Fundamentally, I believe we are put on this earth to make a difference. Here, at USHEALTH, our people can not only make a great living, they can also build a meaningful life for themselves and their families. In many ways, USHEALTH is a microcosm of America – a melting pot of people from all walks of life who have come here seeking an opportunity for a better tomorrow.
