Myhra will serve as Vice-President, Actuarial

USHEALTH Group’s CEO, Ben Cutler, today announced that Phil Myhra is joining the Fort Worth based insurance holding company as Vice President Actuarial reporting to Senior Vice President, Chief Actuary, Bernie Rabinowitz.
“Having known Phil for a number of years I consider him one of the most respected health insurance executives in our industry,” stated CEO Cutler. “Having someone with his talent and extensive background join our team is a real testimony to our strategic growth plans.”

Myhra’s extensive insurance industry experience started at Mutual of Omaha culminating in the position of Senior Vice President, Product Development. He left Mutual of Omaha to join UICI (now Health Markets), where he served as President and Chief Actuary for the corporation’s three insurance subsidiaries and Corporate Executive Vice President.
Myhra’s move to USHEALTH reunites him with his long-term friend and colleague, Troy McQuagge, President of USHEALTH Advisors, the dedicated distribution arm of USHEALTH Group. “I believe Phil is uniquely suited for this position. He brings an added dimension to our management team which should only serve to enhance our opportunities for continued growth,” stated McQuagge.
Rabinowitz, who has also known Myhra through various industry contacts, echoed Cutler and McQuagge’s enthusiasm and noted that he would bring a wealth of talent to his team.
Mr. Myhra is both an F.S.A. and M.A.A.A. He earned a B.A. from Moorhead State University and a Masters in Actuarial Science from the University of Nebraska.
